Yesterday I went to the library. I checked out nineteen books. I returned twenty-six books. then on the computer, my mom and I saw a book called 'Asterix and the Actress' by Gordon Korman. But it was all the way on the sixth floor! So we checked out my books and went in the elevator to the sixth floor.
We've never been there so we were excited. When we got there, it was really quiet and we saw many photographs. We entered a really quiet room so we stayed quiet too. a lady behind the counter took our bag of books and told us to sign up. I signed up for both of us and the lady gave us a playing card. And then she (the lady) searched on the computer and told us to wait for our book.
We sat at a table and turned on the reading lamp. Then I watched my mom play a game o Tetris on her cell phone. Then our book came. I opened it. It was a comic book. I just flipped through it. Then we returned the book.

The Argument
"Okay, let's settle this argument," the commander said. "Let's hear your side of the story, Angus." "I told 'em usin' firewood is best for light but they disagree." Angus explained.
"Well that is, pretty good." the commander said thoughtfully, "Well, what about your side, Wingnut and Wolfgang?" "Ha!" "Wingnut said, "Only nerds use firewood!" Wolfgang chimed in.
"We think torches are the best!" Wingnut explained.
"Is not!" Angus yelled. "Is too!" Wingnut and Wolfgang yelled. "Is no--!" Angus started to yell. "Stop!" the commander said crossly. "He started it." Wingnut and Wolfgang bragged. Angus' face grew beet red. "So, I don't care," he muttered under his breath. "I heard that!" Wolfgang shouted across the room.
The commander grew annoyed of listening to the argument. "Okay, okay! Both objects are good for light. So there." "Nuh-uh!" both teams yelled. "Torches are the best!" Wingnut and Wolfgang hollered. "No! Firewood is the best!" Angus screeched so loudly that you could hear him all the way to the end of the forest.
While they were arguing about this, the commander was deep in thought. Then he spoke up, "Guys," he boomed over the argument. "I think all three of you should stop arguing." After he said that, Angus, Wingnut, and Wolfgang were as silent as a mouse. Wingnut broke the silence to yell nerd to Angus. The commander help up his hands. They were silent again.
Then the commander said softly, "I don't care if you guys think whatever torches or firewood is better. Why don't you just stick to your own ideas?" Angus, Wingnut, and Wolfgang shrugged, the left the cave.

Adventures in Music
Today I went to the San Francisco Symphony Hall.
When I got there, I was on one of the highest rows of the auditorium. It was amazing. I got a pretty good view except some kids kept on leaning forward.
My favorite ones were Love From Three Oranges by Prokofiev, Surprise Symphony by Hyden, well, I liked all of them I admit.
I wonder why the SF Symphony didn't play Piano Concerto No. 1? I know how to play the arranged one including the pedal. Piano Concerto No.1 is by Peter I. Tchaikofsky.
Anyway, I really liked going to the SF Symphony and well, that's about it. Bye!

The Idea Box
Hi! Today is 2008 but however, this story happens in the future in 2031.
It was raining and Daniel and Julia Lawrence were really bored. Julia was typing on an en-typewriter (a new invention). Daniel was tapping on the window and making goofy faces trying to cheer himself up. But, they were still bored.
Suddenly, Daniel had an idea, "Hey Julia!" he called across the room. "I have an idea!" Julia looked up from her typing. "What?" she called back. "Let's make an idea box!" Daniel explained. "If we're ever bored again, we'll press a button and it'll print out ideas for us to do." Julia said, "Great idea!" So, they went down to the basement to start on the project.
Their mom poked her head down into the basement, "Want a snack?" she asked. "No thanks." Daniel and Julia replied. Their mom shook her head as she went away. Julia slammed the door shut and Daniel flicked the light on."Come on, Dan!" Julia said to Daniel. (Dan was Daniel's nickname.)
Daniel and Julia started on their amazing project. Their parents heard loud hammering and noisy clanking from the living room. Meanwhile in the creepy basement, Julia and Daniel were working away.
Julia ran up to her room. She came back down with her ex-science kit. Julia grinned happily. "Look what I found in my desk!" she explained to Daniel. "My ex-science kit. We can use the fowlar (another new invention used as a type of liquid) to make it silver like a robot's silver!" Daniel opened Julia's case and found the shiny silver fowlar. Then they got a test tube from the kit and poured some fowlar into it. Then, they poured the fowlar over the metal box. Daniel and Julia still needed to make improvements on the idea box.
There was a skinny slit on the side of the unfinished box. Daniel found rusty, useless old drawer by a cobweb filled corner. He went to the bathroom to rinse it off. When he was done rinsing it, he trotted back down the basement steps. Julia's eyes gleamed. "Dan! We could pour the silver fowlar on it! And then we could slide it in our box!" so, they poured the shiny, silver fowlar on the drawer. They slid the drawer in the slit. It fit just right.
They already made the inside so they just needed to make the buttons.
After a few hammering, they were finally done. Daniel and Julia smiled proudly. Daniel pressed the button. The idea box buzzed and beeped. It let out a wah-wah-wah sound. "Drat!" Daniel shouted angrily. He kicked the idea box that they made, hard. It let out a humming sound. Then it printed out some paper out through the slit.
"What's this?" Julia wondered aloud. She picked them up. "Monopoly Jr. Connect four, read, play tag in the yard?" she read from the list. "It worked!" Daniel cried.
So, whenever they were bored again, they world use the idea box. If it won't work, they knew what to do. Kick it, hard!

Ant Alert!
Once, in a place called Droon, Will, Alice, and Julie lived in a small cabin near the woods. Daniel, Sebastian, and Meredith's cabin was right next to their cabin. They were neighbors.
One sunny afternoon, Will was playing Star Wars with Daniel and Sebastian in the woods. The girls were playing a hopscoth they drew from ash. (They just get some ash and put it on a stick and draw stuff.)
The kids went further into the forest. It was getting darker. Daniel and Julie made a torch. It was lucky that they all wet to camp before.
Will shuddered. "It was also getting spookier," thought Will. "Where are we?" Alice wondered out loud. "I don't know," Sebastian replied.
"Hey, I have an idea!" Sebastian cried just as they were about to give up hope. "I have a mini GPS on my keychain. My dad gave it to me when he traveled to California." Sebastian held up his keychain near the torch. He clicked his GPS on. Beep! Everyone gathered around. Sebastian clicked on a few more buttons. Finally, the GPS said in a robot voice, "Unidentified place." Beep!
"What are we gonna do?" Meredith whimpered. Will shivered. The small band heard a coyote howl in the distance.
Will stepped back and accidently stepped on a really tough branch. The ground below him started shaking and Will's friends turned to watch. "Is this an earthquake?! Daniel sqeaked. Suddenly, the ground behind Will started to rumble. The ground cracked just enough to reveal a hidden colony. Will peered in to get a better look while his friends trembled. Julie yelled, "William Johnson! Careful!" (That was Will's real name.)
Just then, a bunch of card-sized worker ants tackled Will from behind. "Ahh!" Will scheeched. Will's friends reached for him but the sized worker ants ate their torch so they couldn't see a thing. The kids scambled around while the worker carried Will away into the colony with Will screaming. The giant trap colony closed as soon as the ants crawled in.
Soon the kids fell asleep. They all woke up at 6:45 am. Daniel rubbed his eyes. "What happened?" he mumbled in a sleepy voice. Meredith looked around. "Hey, where's Will?" she asked. Julie said, "The giant ants carried him away, remember?" "I know," Sebastian and Alice said together.
Back in the colony, the card-sized worker ants were carrying Will to the queen ant. One worker ant shoved Will in front of him. Will gulped. The ant said in a rough voice, "After we take you to the queen, bow." Will was not surprised because Droon was a magical world. Will gulped harderthis time but he stammered, "OOOOkkkay." The ant grinned. "Call me Antony," he grunted. And Antony pushed Will toward the queen.
When they got to the queen, the queen ant glared at Antony and boomed, "What'cha doing here, pipsqeak?" The queen seemed like a giant compared to Antony. Antony replied, "I brouhg you this little boy," he said out loud. Antony nudged Will. "Bow!" Antony whispered. Will had no choice but bow, so he did.
Meanwhile outside, Alice, Sebastian, Julie, Daniel, and Meredith found the log that Will stepped on. Alice found Will's hankerchief nearby the giant colony. "That probably fell out of Will's pocket when those ants attaked him." Alice thought. She bent down to pick it up. Alice stuffed Will's hankerchief in her pocket.
"How are we gonna find Will?" Meredith complained. Just then, Julie had an idea. "I know!" she exclaimed. "We could step on that branch and go inside the colony!" Sebastian slapped Julie on the back. "Great idea!" he whooped.
So, Daniel steeped on the branch and a minute later, the colony reopened once again. They all scambled in. Then the crack closed.
They sneaked in past the guards. The group met a friendly ant calld Neal. Neal gave them a tour to where his brother, Eric, was working. Eric and Neal were both the size of a crayon. Eric was friendly too.
Finally, Meredith asked, "Where's Will?" Neal blinked. "Who's Will?" Eric said, "Wait, is that the guy Antony was walking with?" Eric nodded toward the queen's throne. The kids glanced over. Sebastian called out, "Thanks Eric!" and the kids ran over to where the queen was.
Daniel tapped Will on the shoulder. "What?" Will said annoyed expecting Daniel to be an ant. Will instantly spun around. When he saw his friends, his eyes grew wide. "How did you find me!" Will gasped. Alice grinned. "Neal and Eric helped us. "She explained.
Will shook Antony. Will introduced his friends to Antony. Antony stuck out five of his hands to shake. Antony peered at the queen who was busy with another worker ant. Antony murmured, "Let's get you out of here."
Antony led the kids to the exit. He stepped on a stick feeling it with his antennae. The ground above them cracked and out they went with Antony in the lead. Antony wiggled his antennae on Alice's shoe. Then Antony tracked them out of the woods and waved good-bye.
The small band ran back to their warm, cozy cabins.

If I Got fifty Bucks for My Allowance
If I had fifty bucks for my allowance, I could do a lot of things.
First, I would go to the bookstore, Borders, and buy five books that costs three dollars each. I had spent fifteen bucks on the books. I have thirty-five dollars left.
Next, I would go the Burger King and buy a strawberry milkshake for one dollar. I've spent sixteen bucks in all. I still have thirty-four bucks left.
What would I buy next?

Energy
I think I know where energy comes from. I think energy comes from the sun.
The way we get it is this way. First you have to run around under the sun. Then you wait for the energy to come. (If you are bored, play hopscotch). Finally when you feel a breath that might be energy. Maybe energy is some kind of heat. Maybe it's something mixed together.
I'm not sure so don't ask me. I get confused. Energy can be fascinating for some people. I'm not really that kind of person.
Bye!

The Best Birthday Ever! -- Part III
Would Ted get in trouble? Or would he get out of trouble?
When they were all seated, everyone was nervous except Ted. He put his hand over his mouth to keep from giggling.
Mr. Thunders announced, "Class, today we're going to learn about division. Like, ten divided by two is five. Twenty divided by four is also five. Division is sort of like times. It's actually the opposite of times." Mr. Thunders explained. He reached for his desk drawer and they held their breaths.
Even Mr. Thunders screamed when the slimy frog jumped out. That caused Mrs. Harrison, the principal to march right up to Jake's class. No one, except for Luke saw the frog jump out the window. "Victor, come to my office right now!" Mrs. Harrison said sternly. (Victor was Mr. Thunders' first name.) Mr. Thunders made a face and quietly said to his class, "Free period!" The class cheered.
Jake and Andrew played a game of Battleship. After a few hits and misses, Andrew said, "F seven." "Miss," Jake said snickering. "G nine," Jake said. Andrew arched his eyebrow. "What?" "G nine." Jake replied. Andrew slapped his forehead.
"Hit!" Andrew said that just as Mr. Thunders walked through the door. "Boys and girls, it's time to clean up." Mr. Thunders said calmly.

Music
I know a lot about music. I also know how to play piano. The composer, Mozart began to compose music ever since he was five! Beethoven was a composer but he was deaf. Bach war born in 1685 and died in 1750. Liszt was a brilliant pianist who wrote very difficult piano music. Wagner wrote dramatic operas of a highly romantic nature. Gershwin was famous for his popular songs and musicals. Peter Tchaikovsky's music is very popular. Elvis was the king of Roch-n-roll. Some people turned music into art. The word "music" comes from the Greek muses(goddesses) who were said to inspire song and dance. In more scientific terms, music is the art of organized sounds. That's preety much of what I know about music.
See you next time.

The Best Birthday Ever! -- Part II
"Todd, can you buy Jake's birthday decorations? His friends are going to come over," Mrs. Relski said. Mr. Relski groaned, but he managed to say, "Fine,Thea." "Buy it at Party City," Mrs. Relski continued.
Jake glanced at his Pokemon watch. "Oh, no! The bus is gonna come any minute now!" Jake gasped. He quickly brushed his teeth, washed his face, and grabbed his backpack. And said "Uh, oh. My invitations!" Jake got his invitation and rushed out the door just in time as the bus stopped in front of his house.
He plopped down next to Sparr Terence. Jake gave Sparr his invitation and said " Hey, Sparr. It's an invitation to my birthday party on Saturday. Can ya come?" Sparr shrugged, "Maybe, I have to ask my parents first. But, I can help you pass out the invitations in class." "That would be a great help." Jake replied. Jake handed Sparr half of the invitations for him to pass out. When the bus stopped, Jake handed out the rest of the invitations that were his half. Everyone at least said "Okay!" or "Maybe." When they got to school, Sparr haded out his half of the invitations.
Sparr and Jake did a high-five. Just then, Sebastian Derekson slapped Jake on the back and said, "Sure I'll come buddy!" Jake smiled. Luke Robin came and said, "I dunno if I can go or not, but, I sure hope so!" Andrew Cod passed by and winked with his thumb up. "That probably means yes," Jake thought. Meredith Francis and Vinnie Francis came by. They waved and left. Finally, Brice Wu and Carla Stevenson passed by. They apologized for being late. (Brice had a crush on Carla.) Jake didn't notice when Michael Evans came along. Michael gently taped Jake on his shoulder. Jake spun around surprised to find Michael there laughing hilariously. Jake teased Michael in a sqeaky voice, "Oh, I am soooo scared!" "Ha, Ha! Very funny!"Michael teased back. "I just wanted to say that I can come to your party." Michael said. Jake forced a smile. Sparr reminded Jake, "We have to go back to class now, guys."
As they headed to class, Jake thought, "I wonder what kind of decorations dad bought me. I hope I'll like it." Just then, Jake felt someone tap his shoulder. When Jake turned around, there was Ted Lawrence. Ted was pretty friendly, but, he liked to play practical jokes on people. But those joked Ted plays never does any harm. Ted was also the best basketball, kickball, baseball, and football player in third grade. Ted puts posters of basketball players in his bedroom.
Jake asked," What do you want?" Ted replied, "Nothing. Just saying hi." Brice whispered, "Let's go!" Jake nodded and said to Ted,"Catch ya later!" Brice nudged Jake and said,"I have a comic book on Spider-Man 2!" "Cool." Jake said admiringly.
After on hour of Social Studies of learning about the beginning of the universe, it was recess. "Free time!" Ted schreeched! "Lower your voice, Ted," said Mrs. Zeller, their Social Studies teacher. Ted suddenly whooped, and dashed out into the play yard.
"What was that all about?" Brice asked Carla. "I don't know?" Carla answered. "Why don't we follow him and see." Brice said. "Sure," said Carla. Brice and Carla followed by Meredith and Vinnie skipped out of class. Sparr nudged his friends. "Let's find out too." Andrew said, "I like your Bat Man t-shirt, Sparr," Sparr muttered under his breath, "I know you've trying to get out of this, Andrew." "Now let's hurry," Sparr snapped. So, everyone agreed.
The third-graders hurried outside just in time to see Ted pull a small frog out of the mud. "Eweeew!" Lots of the third graders said. Ted just grinned a foolish grin. Ted lowered his voice. "If you don't tell Mr. Thunders, I'm gonna sneak this in his desk, so when he opens it, he's gonna find out."
Jake and his friends all agreed that they would keep it a secret. When they went back to class, Ted already put the frog in Mr. Thuders' desk. Jake and his pals all held their breaths to see what would happen.
Jake glanced at his Pokemon watch. "Oh, no! The bus is gonna come any minute now!" Jake gasped. He quickly brushed his teeth, washed his face, and grabbed his backpack. And said "Uh, oh.

My Imaginary Adventure
Yesterday, I went to Antarctica and fed the penguins. Then , I built a jet ski out of magical ice. And I went fishing. I caught two dozen fish!
And I headed back to the freezing ice, but, I wasn't cold because I was wearing really warm clothes. As night fell, I made a fire in the chilly weather. And ate five of the fish I caught earlier. Then, I built a small but out of magical ice with a warm bed, a small lamp, a relaxing sofa, and a small desk. And I slept.
When I woke up the next morning, I rubbed my eyes and ate some toast that I made with magical ice. All of a sudden , I had a great idea! I made a comfortable sled guided by strong penguins with magical ice, I learned magical ice can be really useful.
And I went sledding and almost got thrown in the water! But luckily, I pulled the penguins back just in time. What a relief! Phew!
Soon, I ate lunch. I smoked five more fish I caught and ate it, I went sledding some more. And I bumped into a iceberg and got squished like a bug.

The Best Birthday Ever! -- Part I
One day, Jake Relski woke up at sunrise. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the clock. It read: 6:10.
It was an early January morning. Jake glanced up at his calendar. Two more days 'till his eighth birthday. Jakes' birthday is on January 18, 1999. Jake suddenly remembered that he still needed to make invations since his birthday is on a Saturday.
Jake put on a power ranger T-shirt and cutoff jeans. He searched the web on his computer and typed invations. Jake clicked on the Sponge Bob ones. He yawned sleepishly. And printed one for each of his friends.
Jake chose one that said, "Cool lookin', bud." Come to Jake's birthday on Jan. 18, 2007. 1871 Cabrillo Street, Austin, Texas 94160. That was for his friend, Brice. The one Jake for Carla said, "Party Time!" Come to Jake's birthday party on Jan. 18, 2007! 1871 Cabrillo Street Austin, Texas 94160. Jake made one that said, "Hiya! Nice hairstyle ya got there!" Come to Jake's birthday party on Jan. 18, 2007! And the address, to Michael, Jake also made one to Sebastian, Meredith, Andrew, Vinnie, and Sparr and Luke.
When his parents woke up, Jake went down-stairs for breakfast. Jake had oatmeal, bacon, and milk. Jake and his family discussed about Jakes' birthday.

Ask Bill Gates
I would want to talk to Bill Gates because I'm really interested in his humongus house. I'd ask him, "How did you become so rich? Whom did you buy your house from?" And questions and comments like that. Man, I wish I could swim in his pool and sit in his small movie theater, and read in his library. It's so cooooool. Bill Gates is the richest man in the world!!! But that's all I could think of now. Bye!

My Home
I will tell you about my home.
I live on G**** and L***** Street. I live in the % % on the 3rd floor. My room number is 308. I hear fire engines and police car's sirens all the time. If I don't hear that, well , it's still pretty noisy.
I have to admit, I like to play connect five with my dad or my mom. I beat them a lot. My dad likes to play over and over again until he wins. If I win, I run out of the door of the room and yell "I won!" If my dad loses, he always says "I didn't see." And I would prance out of the room.
My favorite parts of my home is the living room and my room (which is my desk at home). My dad likes to watch television and play ping-pang ball, and get coupons. Okay, back to talking about my desk. My desk is a shade of dark brown. It has four drawers. The left drawer on the top is my toy drawer. The one next to it is my private drawer. And the one under it is my backpack drawer. I put all the backpacks I don't use right now. And the one to its left is my roller skate and safety drawer.
That is all I can think of today. Bye!

The Book Series That I Like
My favorite book series are: A-Z Mysteries, Encyclopedia Brown books, The Secrets of Droon, Bailey School Kids, The Boxcar Children and Goosebumps.
My favorite book from the A-Z Mysteries book was The Talking T-Rex. Someone stole Jud's money he raised! I didn't read all of it. I only read to number twelve, chapter four.
I didn't read all of The Bailey School Kids except so far, my favorite one was: Sea Serpents Don't Juggle Water Ballons. Melody and Lisa think Eddie's math tutor is a sea serpent!
I don't know about The Boxcar Children and Goosebumps.
Happy Reading!
P.S.- I love to read!!!

The Soldier Meets His Horse
This is a short story about a soldier who sees a horse. Once, a soldier went inside the forest and saw a horse behind a tree. Since the soldier didn't have a horse, he decided he should get one. So he talked to the horse in a soothing voice and he and the horse galloped off.

What I Would Do If Today Was My Birthday
If today was my birthday, I would like to go to the library and check out all of the books I wanted. And, I don't even have to look for them. I imagine that they would be right there waiting for me to check them out. I would also like to have wonderful meals. Also, I would......

Halloween Poem II
It's Halloween,
Beneath the gray clouds,
There's a big crowd!
And what was the crowd doing?
My, my, they are trick-or treating!
After they finish doing tricks,
They do the eating!
Tricks,
Treats,
Oh,
Whatever!
At least,
They have a hapy Halloween!
Beneath the gray clouds,
There's a big crowd!
And what was the crowd doing?
My, my, they are trick-or treating!
After they finish doing tricks,
They do the eating!
Tricks,
Treats,
Oh,
Whatever!
At least,
