The Best Birthday Ever! -- Part III

Would Ted get in trouble? Or would he get out of trouble?

When they were all seated, everyone was nervous except Ted. He put his hand over his mouth to keep from giggling.

Mr. Thunders announced, "Class, today we're going to learn about division. Like, ten divided by two is five. Twenty divided by four is also five. Division is sort of like times. It's actually the opposite of times." Mr. Thunders explained. He reached for his desk drawer and they held their breaths.

Even Mr. Thunders screamed when the slimy frog jumped out. That caused Mrs. Harrison, the principal to march right up to Jake's class. No one, except for Luke saw the frog jump out the window. "Victor, come to my office right now!" Mrs. Harrison said sternly. (Victor was Mr. Thunders' first name.) Mr. Thunders made a face and quietly said to his class, "Free period!" The class cheered.

Jake and Andrew played a game of Battleship. After a few hits and misses, Andrew said, "F seven." "Miss," Jake said snickering. "G nine," Jake said. Andrew arched his eyebrow. "What?" "G nine." Jake replied. Andrew slapped his forehead.

"Hit!" Andrew said that just as Mr. Thunders walked through the door. "Boys and girls, it's time to clean up." Mr. Thunders said calmly.
